Full-grain leather
The top of the hide, not the leftovers.
Corium uses full-grain leather from one of the finest tanneries in the world. Full-grain means the outer layer of the hide is left intact, so every piece keeps its natural grain, has a supple hand and a pebbled texture, and develops a rich patina with use instead of wearing out. It is the difference your client feels the moment they pick the piece up.
Compare that to what fills most promo catalogs. “Genuine leather” is usually a split with the top layer removed and a finish sprayed on. Bonded leather is shredded scrap glued to a backing. PU and “vegan leather” are plastic film. All three take a shallow, soft-edged deboss and start to peel or crack at the edges within a year or two. Full-grain takes a crisp impression and gets better with handling.
Because the grain is natural, no two hides are identical. Small variations in texture and shade are the signature of the material, not a defect, and they are part of what makes a Corium piece read as a gift rather than a giveaway.
Colors, canvas and hardware
Six leathers, four canvases, solid brass.
Standard leather colors: Black, Chocolate, Copper, Navy, Red Maple and Emerald Green, across the line. Black and Chocolate are the executive-gift defaults; Copper and Red Maple show the grain most; Navy and Emerald Green carry a brand color without a printed mark.
Canvas pairings: select bags, totes, dopp kits and pouches pair leather trim with heavy canvas in Black, Natural, Pine and Navy.
Hardware: solid brass on bags and accessories, and metallic finish options on select items.
Stitching: many pieces are offered stitched or non-stitched. Edge stitching is not available on Quick Ship products.

Decoration
A deboss that looks like it belongs there.
Your client’s logo is pressed directly into the leather with a custom die. A natural blind deboss is standard; gold and silver foil are available on many items. Tooling and setup is $100(V), and repeat orders re-set up for $31.25(V).
Because the mark is in the leather rather than printed on it, it does not peel, fade or rub off. It simply ages with the piece. Names and initials can be stamped alongside a logo for personalized programs.

Care and ageing
Made to look better every year.
Full-grain leather needs very little. Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth, keep it away from prolonged direct sun and heat, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. A light coat of a neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year keeps the hand supple; on Copper and Red Maple it also deepens the color.
Scuffs on full-grain can usually be rubbed out with a fingertip, because the surface is the hide itself rather than a coating. Over time the piece darkens slightly where it is handled most and takes on a soft sheen. That patina is the point: a gift that visibly improves with use is a gift that stays on the desk.
